At the tourist office - Visit Kolding at Akseltorv you may find interesting and special Kolding-gifts for the adults and a whole Christmas gift calendar with 24 gifts for the children.
Before Christmas Visit Kolding is bursting with gifts. Here you can find unique gifts for family and friends - and of course for the children, which should have a small gift every day of December. Prizes for Christmas games and hostess gifts can also be found here.
There is no reason to tire yourself out and spend a small fortune to make December something special for the youngest in the family. The 24 fits for the parcel calendary can be bought at Visit Kolding and you even get a Christmas stocking to put the gift in every day. There are parcel calendars with 23 unwrapped gifts for girls and another for boys and to both belongs and additional large gift, which is wrapped for the 24 December, which is the day Danes celebrate Christmas.
Visit Kolding also has lots of gifts for the adult.
The Formland Award winner designer Helene Vonsild has found inspiration in the history of Kolding, the setting and competences for the design of a beautiful and unique damask table cloth. The table cloth has just been launched under the name "Kolding" in all Georg Jensen Damask's shops, and you can also buy it from Visit Kolding at Akseltorv.
And no Christmas without a fine claret. This year's Kolding-wine stems from a hill in Côtes de Castillon, Bordeaux. The owner of the Chateau la Casparde is Jean-Pierre Janoueix from the famous wine company from Saint-Émilion and Pomerol. The Kolding-wine has a deep red colour, and has a concentrated flavour and fragrance with sweet tannins and fruit with nuances of blackberry, cloudberry and vanilla.
This year you can also buy a special Kolding-tea in two different tastes. One is a cosy Christmas tea with the fragrance of cinnamon. The other is a black China tea with the flavours of pineapple, strawberry and raspberry.
Finally there is also a nice selection of decorative art, such as wine corks and Christmas decorations, which are obvious Christmas and hostess gifts.
There certainly are many good reasons to go Christmas shopping at Visit Kolding at Akseltorv.

PRESS RELEASE
Christiansfeld, 31 March 2008
The exhibition, which takes place during the weeks Nos. 15-20, is about the church building in Christiansfeld compared with other Moravian brethren churches and city plans in other Moravian brethren towns in Europe.
Drawings and pictures tell about the buildings and town plans of the Moravian brethren, about uniformity and principles and about the architecture and planning of that time.
A number of examples of similarities and differences among the Moravian brethren, and other towns and buildings of that time.
The most essential buildings of the congregations are the church houses and the choir houses, which have a number of common features, even if the investment differs from country to country.
The principles connect the towns with a number of ideological ideas, which are especially attached to the time, when they arose – a period, when towns and buildings in particular were planned.
At the same time there are a number of parallels within contemporary, religious buildings and movements.
Lecturer, Mr. Jørgen Toft Jessen, architect is going to give his lecture at the Brødremenighedens Hotel on 16 April 2008 at 19.00.
