Trapholt - the Garden by the Bay
The garden at Trapholt was laid out in 1934 with a magnificent view of the Bay of Kolding. To the south parts of the bay and the landscape on the south side are staged by groups of trees. The large curved perennial bed, which almost imitates a coiled spring, invites to movement. When you move to the south side of the bed, the narrow strip of grass under the tree crowns form a secure counterbalance to the open boundlessness of the grassy plain.
In the south eastern part of the garden the path opens towards anamphitheatre-like terrain and to the west the path disappears into a natural pergola. The garden is a beautiful explosion of colours and shapes, take a look behind the museum and enjoy the sight, which awaits. There is free admission to the garden.
