A Little about Kolding

The inner town of Kolding had up to the 1960ies developped into a slum, where there were some filthy backyards with damp apartments partly converted from old horse stables hiding behind the shop facades of the streets. The Municipality of Kolding started a comprehensive buying and demolishing of the unhealthy houses and in 1974 a unified planning was formulated for the inner town. In 1974 the highway traffic was relocated to the motorway around the town. Thus it was in earnest possible to transform the town centre to a place of adventure for the citizens and tourists within an extended ringway system.
